RTP and House Edge Explained
To play wisely at an online casino, understanding RTP and house edge is essential. RTP, or Return to Player, is a game's theoretical statistic that indicates how much money is returned on average for every ৳100 wagered over the long term. For example, a 96% RTP means an average of ৳96 is returned for every ৳100 over the long term.
RTP generally varies across different types of games. Slot games can typically have an RTP ranging from 92%–98%, while table games like Blackjack can reach nearly 99%. Roulette usually sits around 94%–97%. These figures are theoretical and results may vary from session to session.
House edge is the flip side of RTP — it is the casino's average profit rate. A 96% RTP means the house edge is 4%. Choosing a high RTP game does not guarantee a win, but it does mean a lower chance of loss over the long term.
Before playing, check the RTP in the game's info section. Choosing a game by matching a relatively high RTP with your preferred volatility level is a well-informed decision.
General RTP Comparison
| Game Type | Typical RTP |
|---|---|
| Slots | 92%–98% |
| Blackjack | ~99% |
| Roulette | 94%–97% |
| Baccarat | 95%–99% |
| Crash Games | 95%–97% |
How to Read Odds
Understanding odds is one of the most important skills in online betting. Knowing the different types of odds makes it easier to place the right bets.
Decimal Odds — The Simplest
Example: ৳500 bet at odds of 1.80 → Total return = ৳500 × 1.80 = ৳900 (profit ৳400).
Implied probability = 1 ÷ Odds × 100. Odds of 1.80 = 55.6% probability.
Fractional Odds
For example, 4/5 means a ৳4 profit on a ৳5 bet. Common in British betting.
American Odds (Moneyline)
+150 means ৳150 profit on a ৳100 bet. -150 means ৳100 profit on a ৳150 bet.
